Privacy and your visit

Browsing this guide

You do not need an account to read chongqing.guide. We do not use user logins, booking forms or ad network scripts. Guide search runs directly in your browser.

Website statistics

To make the guides more useful for your trip, we use Google Analytics to measure page views, booking-link clicks, traffic sources, browser languages, the language edition viewed, device types and approximate locations. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, it loads only after you allow statistics. Elsewhere, it loads automatically unless you reject statistics. You can change or withdraw your choice through Statistics settings in the footer. Cloudflare determines which consent rule applies from the request’s country; we do not store that location. Your choice and its date are saved in your browser. Google signals can add aggregate age, gender and interest statistics from eligible signed-in Google users who have enabled ads personalization. We do not use these analytics data for personalized advertising. See Google’s privacy policy. Private previews do not load Google Analytics.

Smooth page loading makes it easier to read and plan your trip. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure page views, referring websites and page loading performance. Its browser script does not use cookies or track visitors across websites. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Our OpenStreetMap basemap helps you locate places while planning your trip. Requests to its map servers are covered by the provider’s privacy policy.

Links to other websites

When planning your trip, you can follow links from our pages to hotels, tickets, transport maps and travel tools. These external services have their own privacy policies and terms of service. If you make a booking, you share your personal details directly with that provider.

Affiliate links include a partner code. After you follow a link, Klook and KKday may use their own cookies or other tracking tools to attribute bookings under their privacy policies: Klook and KKday.

Policy updates

If we add third-party analytics or advertising, we will update this notice before turning them on. We will also provide any needed consent choices.

Feedback and guide statistics

You can give feedback without registering. This feature saves a random ID in your browser. We record the guide, language, content version, vote, optional reason and time. We also count searches with no results, including the words searched, and clicks on maps, directions and booking links. These records help us improve the guides. Our statistics database does not store names, email addresses or IP addresses.

Contact messages

You can send us your questions. We store your email address, message, language and submission time so we can reply. Messages are private and a copy is sent to our team inbox. A short-lived address hash limits repeated submissions.

Map behavior analytics

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people browse and use our maps so we can improve them. The service stores small amounts of data in your browser. Microsoft may also use usage data to improve its products and for advertising. Microsoft Privacy Statement.

We do not enable this service for visitors in Europe, the UK or Switzerland. We also turn it off when your browser asks not to be tracked. Text you enter in input boxes is hidden in the recordings.
