Couple portraits in your own clothes

For a relaxed couple shoot, search 重庆情侣写真 or 重庆情侣旅拍. These terms help you find portraits of two people. Search 重庆跟拍 for a photographer who follows you through city streets. Search 重庆写真摄影 for portrait studios.

Look through an entire gallery. Compare close-up portraits with wider street views, and check how naturally the photographer captures couples walking, talking or looking at each other. Pick editing that fits your preferred look. Polished wedding studio shots look very different from candid city street portraits.

TestBed 2 (鹅岭贰厂) suits denim, retro styles and simple casual outfits. Its converted factory buildings give street photos an industrial backdrop. Longmenhao Old Street (龙门浩老街) offers tiled roofs, old lanes and towers across the Yangtze. Pick the spot that matches your clothes and stay within that single area.

For a studio base near Jiefangbei, search 行影影像(解放碑店). Custom daytime portrait sessions start from CNY 389 (≈ USD 58 ) per person per session. For an open river backdrop, choose a riverbank instead. Jiangbeizui (江北嘴), right beside Chongqing Grand Theater (重庆大剧院), looks directly across the Jialing River at Hongya Cave (洪崖洞). Take Metro Line 6 to Grand Theater station (大剧院), leave via Exit 2, and walk along the river toward Qiansimen Bridge (千厮门大桥).

Nanbin Road (南滨路) looks across the Yangtze River at the Yuzhong high-rise skyline. Pick this bank for glittering towers and water reflections behind you. Stick to one riverbank so your photographer can make the most of the changing evening light.

Show sample night portraits rather than just landscape skyline shots. That helps the photographer know how bright to keep your face and background.

Hanfu portraits around Hongya Cave

Choose Hanfu for flowing traditional robes and ornate hair accessories. Browse the studio's portfolio carefully: Hanfu styles, qipao and Miao clothing create very distinct looks.

Search 洪崖洞汉服旅拍 on Dianping or Meituan for studios near Hongya Cave. 初寻旅拍洪崖洞店 is one local studio to compare. Save pictures of the exact robes, hairstyles and makeup styles you like before reaching out.

Robes can take centre stage in close portraits or blend into wider building shots. For a natural look, ask for light makeup and minimal retouching. A reference picture with a simple hairstyle and delicate hairpins gives the stylist clear guidance.

Rooftop portraits and the 131 name

For high skyline views, compare the options in our photo spots guide. Cloud Eye (重庆云端之眼), atop the United International Building (联合国际大厦), places you right among central skyscrapers. WFC offers another sweeping high-altitude view over Yuzhong and the two rivers.

The rooftop known as 天台131 is on Chongqing World Trade Center (重庆世贸中心) at 262 metres. The Hanging Realm portrait setup there is currently paused. This rooftop is completely separate from Cloud Eye and WFC.

Find and contact a photographer

Use Dianping or Meituan to compare studio packages, and Xiaohongshu to check individual photographers' visual portfolios. Search using the Chinese phrases above along with your chosen neighbourhood.

Send your shoot date, group size, selected area and two or three reference photos. For casual couple photos in street clothes, copy: 我们想拍情侣照，穿自己的衣服，不穿汉服。 (We want couple photos in our own clothes, not Hanfu.) For Hanfu with soft makeup, copy: 我想拍汉服，妆容自然一点。 (I want Hanfu photos with natural-looking makeup.)
